No New Posts PRYPYAT -- FISHING SHACK -----

The city proper of Prypyat is no longer habitable, but Yelzaveta could not wander too far... Near the Prypyat River, a small re-purposed "home", once a shack for fishing, acts as her abode. It is quite modest compared to the finer standards of living that she was once used to, but it brings her comfort to be as close to her home as possible. It is outside of the Zone of Exclusion, and is perfectly safe for living. Inside of the house are some mementos of a life once lives, near the corner there is a giant teddy bear, bigger than she is, and there are many small paintings lining the walls, relics of the arts school. A book of translations lays over a locked drawer, hiding her secret picture book, her pride and joy that she keeps hidden. The general feel is like something out of the 80's much better persevered than anything in the abandoned city. Despite a humble and shabby outer appearance, the inside is a true joy, something she takes very good care of, and it acts as a nearly perfect time capsule. The bed is very soft, but very clearly was added later, with some very clear signs that this was not intended as a home. Perhaps when she found it, it was some sort of bait and fish shop, in addition to a storage shack? Regardless, it has a perfect childish touch, having been kept up with meticulously for years. Especially when you consider this is the fruits of the labor of a little girl.

No New Posts SCOTLAND -- CABIN -----

a beautiful and rustic log cabin, stacked two stories high with a balcony extending from the master bedroom. the den and kitchen meet in an open plan setting, with only a bar separating them, which in fact acts as an actual bar, with cabinets built in for holding drinks and glasses. the den has a large glass window that stretched to the roof of the cabin, enabling a beautiful look at the surrounding scottish forestry.

No New Posts SERBIA -- APARTMENT -----

located in one of the nice parts of the novi beograd blokovi, snežana's apartment is surprisingly luxurious considering that it's part of a series of concrete boxes. she decorates with a curious mixture of traditional and modern styles, including pirot rugs on the floor, photographs of her friends and family peeking out from all kinds of places, and a startling array of books about all kinds of different subjects lining several walls in bookshelves. gadgets and doodads, most quite opaque as to their purpose, can be found in many parts of her home, often minding their own business at her encouragement. Intruders beware: snežana keeps a sarplaninac dog called branka as her pet and guardian (though how there is enough space for such a large dog to go unnoticed in the apartment unless needed remains an open question), and anyone who enters without snežana's permission might be in for an unpleasant encounter with seventy pounds of protective, fluffy canine

No New Posts VOJVODINA -- APARTMENT -----

despite her very young apparent age, ljuba maintains a simple apartment in the podbara district of novi sad. the majority of the decorations were evidently made by the girl herself, except for a few posters advertising local music groups and a couple nice woven rugs that were gifts from her mother. the door to the main bedroom looks inexplicably worn-out compared to everything else in the apartment, and will probably need to be replaced soon. when ljuba is in residence, which isn't always because her mama sometimes needs her in beograd for extended periods of time, the kitchen tends to be well-stocked and there is usually a bowl full of fresh fruit somewhere. one of the neighbors checks in regularly whether she is there or not, to make sure that nothing has gone catastrophically wrong in either her presence or absence
