The city proper of Prypyat is no longer habitable, but Yelzaveta could not wander too far... Near the Prypyat River, a small re-purposed "home", once a shack for fishing, acts as her abode. It is quite modest compared to the finer standards of living that she was once used to, but it brings her comfort to be as close to her home as possible. It is outside of the Zone of Exclusion, and is perfectly safe for living. Inside of the house are some mementos of a life once lives, near the corner there is a giant teddy bear, bigger than she is, and there are many small paintings lining the walls, relics of the arts school. A book of translations lays over a locked drawer, hiding her secret picture book, her pride and joy that she keeps hidden. The general feel is like something out of the 80's much better persevered than anything in the abandoned city. Despite a humble and shabby outer appearance, the inside is a true joy, something she takes very good care of, and it acts as a nearly perfect time capsule. The bed is very soft, but very clearly was added later, with some very clear signs that this was not intended as a home. Perhaps when she found it, it was some sort of bait and fish shop, in addition to a storage shack? Regardless, it has a perfect childish touch, having been kept up with meticulously for years. Especially when you consider this is the fruits of the labor of a little girl.
